# Introduction

The REST API communicates exclusively in JSON over SSL (HTTPS). Request and response data are JSON formatted using UTF-8 encoding and URL encoded values. The only requirement to use our API is to create an account on our website.

To get started with API, you need a Payright account. If you don't have one, you can create a new account [here](https://www.payright.my).

Once you have created the account, you can use the API Key that you can get from the 

> Account > API Keys
